Manila, the best place to be during the Lenten Season
For many years now, I choose to have a "staycation" during the Holy Week season. Its the best time to experience traffic free roads, less crowded places and a good time to observe the Lenten traditions of the Filipinos. The term "staycation" is how they call it, where you can stay home but you explore the places around the city and then find retreat.
We went around the churches in Manila and started in Intramuros, then Malate and finally at Binondo.
SAN AGUSTIN CHURCH

On our way to our next stop, we passed by a line of food vendors and church goers sampling street food and refreshments.

MANILA CATHEDRAL

MALATE CHURCH

the Station of the Cross

and who can resist the ARISTOCRAT restaurant nearby ordering the refreshing HALO HALO

and the yummy Lumpiang Ubod

Our last stop, BINONDO CHURCH

For the rest of the activities we did, check out this set.
