Hong Kong's NANLIAN Garden
If you haven't heard it yet, you're missing a gem. I suggest, try including it in your itinerary the next time you visit Hong Kong.
Nanlian Garden is located in the middle of urban high rise buildings near the Diamond Hill Exit (C2) of Hongkong MTR Station in Kowloon. You wont miss it if you know how to read and follow directions, just a five mins walk from that exit and you're there enjoying the pollution free and noise free beautiful garden in the midst of a bustling metropolis.
It was a hurried stroll with only limited time in our hands, and locating for it was a breeze. A skill, I think, I was able to muster up when I do my travel homework - google research :)
Rich vegetation, bonsai trees, wooden Chinese structures, clear blue pond with plenty of beautiful Koi fish, all beautifully landscaped in this gem of a garden. Here's also a Chinese tea house which serves dimsum and aged old Chinese teas.
The Chi Lin Nunnery is also located just few steps away but we can no longer afford another minute longer and so we missed it and hurried back to the the MTR station to our next destination - shopping, before we head back home that night.
Nanlian Garden is free for all and opens from 7am to 9 pm. Check it out next time, you'll love it.
