It's my second time to dine here and in both occasions, enjoyed the cozy ambiance and the immense array of Asian and International dishes they offer . Midas Cafe is located on the second floor of Midas Hotel and Casino. It only started operating more than a year ago, from then Hyatt Hotel to now Midas Hotel and Casino.

It is situated along Roxas Blvd, adjacent to San Juan de Dios Hospital, you wont miss it!
I'm not really a big fan of buffets or eat all you can dining as my tummy can only take so much but who would say no to free invites to hotel buffets where prices can range as high as 3000 pesos per head on some lavish hotel, but here in Midas Cafe, buffet is priced reasonably at net 1,388 pesos (dinner) and 788 pesos (lunch) for the food selection they offer and the very cozy hotel ambiance you get.

From this section, you can have it cooked your way ... grilled, sinigang, etc ... just go to the chef's station and tell them how you want it done. They'll give you a number for claiming after a few minutes.

I took a little of each from this
section to jumpstart my appetite and then enjoyed this green salad I mixed, picking the Midas special sauce for the dressing.

Wanted to try the mongolian but this would only make me feel fuller, so I skipped this area, as well as the noodle station, the pasta and dimsum section and head straight to dessert station to satisfy my sweet cravings.

Since this is a hotel setting always come in smart casual attire. They might not let you in if you're in shorts and slippers. Also, be sure to call for a reservation to be assured of a seat.
I wasn't able to take a lot of food shots and shots of the cafe's layout interior since I'm just using my HTC phone's camera but I'm quite satisfied with its clear resolution :-)
Overall, thumbs up for Midas Cafe buffet. You'll get more than enough of you're money's worth ... well, that's if you can digest the food as soon as you chew it, so you can make more space to take in more food ;-).
Hi, I found your review useful. Thanks! Though I'm concerned with the availability of macaroons. Do they serve it regularly? I'm planning to bring my sister to this hotel since she is so fond of macaroons.
ReplyDeleteHi Krissy, thanks. We just dined there again last thursday and macaroons were not in their selections . But there were new items I enjoyed like the coated cream puffs and the walnut pie. Anyway I suggest you call Midas Cafe first and ask them if they are serving macaroons on that day and if that is so, go sit near the dessert section coz on my experience macaroons got consumed right away :D
